The new iOS app provides an affordable alternative to moving truck rental companies by connecting users looking for local delivery service with truck owners in their local community.

Toronto, Canada – July, 2018

Peercel, announced today that the iOS version of the app is now available to download for free on the AppStore. Users can now search for trusted truck drivers directly on their phone. Delivery quotes can be calculated instantly in the app. The service offers flat rate quotes and no hidden fees unlike most truck rental or moving companies in the market.

“Just like most Canadians, I often find it expensive to hire white glove moving companies, I just need a truck and I am happy to do the rest of the moving myself” says co-founder, Innocent Akhidenor. “We want to help build a trusted network to solve this logistic problem.”

The startup, which is based on a very simple decentralized network concept, similar to ride-sharing companies or on-demand peer to peer services. It works by having users choose their delivery destination and also enter the truck size they will wish to request, such as pickup truck, van, 10ft truck or 15ft truck. Users will know upfront how much it will cost, and that would be the price they have to pay at the end. Once the information is submitted, the network of truck drivers will accept the moving job request on a first come first serve basis. Users will then have the power to choose which driver they will go for based on our community reviews. Now users won’t need to waste precious time renting trucks and returning it themselves.

Users can also schedule a delivery ahead of time directly on the app and eventually get their stuff delivered. It is perfect for the busy bunch but don’t wish to pay the full price of hiring a team of movers.
