Pricing
Publishing an ad is free. Peercel earns a service fee on deliveries that actually take place.
The principles
Publishing costs nothing
Creating an account, publishing a parcel or a trip, chatting in the app: none of it is charged.
The price is negotiated between the two parties
The sender proposes a price, the traveller accepts or counter-offers. Negotiation runs both ways until you agree.
An indicative price per route and weight
Peercel shows an indicative price built from a pricing grid per corridor and weight bracket, maintained by the team.
A floor that prevents undercutting
An offer cannot go below half the route's indicative price: that is what protects the value of what travellers actually do.
A fee taken at release
The service fee is withheld when funds are released to the traveller's balance. It is shown before acceptance: the net amount is known in advance.
Withdrawals
Balance funds are withdrawn by mobile money or bank transfer, depending on the country. Any payment provider fees are shown before you confirm.
What moves the indicative price
- The corridor: thinly served routes cost more than daily connections.
- The weight and bulk of the parcel.
- Urgency: a tight date window shrinks the pool of eligible travellers.
- The nature of the contents, which drives handling and paperwork.
Actual figures are shown in the app, at the moment you publish an ad: they depend on the corridor and are adjusted regularly. This page describes pricing principles; it is not a contractual rate card.
